As a solo traveler, I really enjoyed the friendly and helpful hosts who provided me with detailed information about the island and even helped me book tickets. the room was comfortable and clean, and I really liked the fact that each house had its own kitchen, making it convenient for cooking and sharing with a few other guests. the location was also great, with easy access to all the major towns and tourist spots on the island.

The kitchen was well-equipped and the entire place was spotlessly clean. Fernando, the owner, was incredibly helpful and provided us with plenty of useful information about the beautiful island of Sao Miguel.

Each room had its own kitchen, ensuring privacy and convenience. the location was perfect for exploring the island by car, with easy access to major towns and tourist spots. a peaceful and enjoyable place to stay. We had an amazing stay at a local stay on São Miguel Island. The setting was quiet and comfortable, and we really felt like we were on holiday. The property's entrance was a work of art, and we loved seeing the birds and cats around. Fernando gave us plenty of hiking tips, making our exploration of the island a breeze. we had a great experience and would recommend this stay to others.

The location of the hotel is great, being near enough to the city to go for dinner but also in a quiet and lovely little town. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, with a nice modern interior. The maid service every few days is a nice luxury and adds to the overall experience. The entrance to the property is also quite charming, with birds nesting around the house and cats wandering around.

There were some motion-sensor lights inside the house that made loud clicks when they came on, which could be a bit annoying.

For us it was ideal.

We stayed at Stonewood Lodge for a week and had an amazing time. The house was comfortable and had everything we needed. The covered eating area was a bonus for enjoying meals outside. The view was beautiful and waking up to bird song was a treat. The location was great, not too far from the main city and walking distance to a supermarket. The maid service was a nice luxury. excellent value for money. We would definitely stay here again and recommend it to others.
